Local eatery readies for return after fire, permit delays

After many delays and permit issues, I Luv Teriyaki is ready to reopen in Georgetown.

The planned March 1 reopening at 6500 4th Ave. S will mark nearly three years to the day a fire destroyed the local favorite on March 3, 2023.

The Lo family behind the rebuilt restaurant posted the news on the restaurant's social media and confirmed it with the Gazette. "It has been a long journey of rebuilding, patience, and hard work. Through it all, our community stood by usꟷand we are incredibly grateful," they wrote in a Facebook post.

The Los had hoped to reopen last spring, but said they ran into issues with city permits. They only recently received the occupancy permit.
