Two northbound lanes of the State Route 99 First Avenue S Bridge over the Duwamish River are closed with no immediate timetable for repair and reopening. Engineers found issues with the steel grid bridge deck.

The bridge is open in both directions, but drivers should expect delays in the area. The speed limit on the bridge is reduced to 25 mph to reduce stress on the steel bridge deck. The HOV lane is open to all drivers.
