Duwamish River Festival - Sat, Aug 8

Celebrate the Duwamish River in South Park on Saturday, August 8th from 12pm - 5pm at the Duwamish River Festival!

The Duwamish River Festival is focused on celebrating the accomplishments and existence of the one and only river in Seattle, the Duwamish River. After the River was declared a Superfund site in 2001, the Duwamish River Community Coalition (DRCC) was established and worked to ensure that the community was part of the cleanup process. In 2026, the DRCC is celebrating 25 years of advocacy for a clean and healthy environment.

Join in the celebration on August 8th at the People's Park (8700 Dallas Ave S) in South Park. Keep an eye on DRCC's website for more info, including a free shuttle service throughout the day from Georgetown to the festival!
